Connected through our leadership in Esquimalt, I would not be here without you. You have a special place in my heart for someone who played a crucial role in my career path. It was a bit intimidating following you and I knew I could never fill your shoes with the gifts you gave that department. I obviously led with my own style, but I can absolutely share that you left a positive difference with the team that turned a corner for the department. You set me up for success, doing a lot of the initial hard work. Know that me and the team are thinking of you and championing you through this.
