Steve, thank you for being my friend.
I have a lot of respect for you in what you’re doing. I look forward to seeing when you have completed your first component of your healing journey.
I have always admired your vulnerability and how you have shown up for others.
The past is in your head, the future is in your hands.

Take care pal,

CB

Hi Steve, thinking of you throughout this time. You are an inspiration to us all and I am grateful i have had the opportunity to get to know you and work with you. I truly admire the way you show up day to day and the courage and vulnerability you consistently show- it is the definition of strength in a man. I hope you are getting the help you need, Ive told you before, but you are one of the driving forces that inspired me to volunteer for the health and wellness committee and im proud of all the things we accomplished together. You will always have my support. looking forward to connecting with you soon.

Steve…I’m not sure you know how much I appreciated playing a small part of your second book. You asked me to read the manuscript and provide a testimonial at a time when I needed some reassurance. I was questioning everything I was doing…at home…at work…in life. You picked me up, like you have for so many others. You inspired me, like you have done for so many others. I tell people to “take care” as an action statement. Take the actions needed to care for yourself so we can continue to care for others. I’m looking forward to the day we can sit down together and have a coffee. Love ya brother. Take care.

Thank you all for these beautiful messages. I am very humbled and it’s very empowering for me to read these as I go through this program.
On behalf of myself and my family, the support we have received has been incredible.
Love you all,
Steve

Hey buddy,

July 1st coming up around the corner. PSU will be out with Esquimalt and Saanich in attendance. This incredible collaboration, that makes Victoria safer, is largely thanks to you and Grant. You guys punched through that glass ceiling and made it possible for police and fire to work collaboratively in this region. So when I’m riding around in the QRT van July 1st in the morning… with my gear on… and proudly wearing a RED “medic” shirt like the other Fire guys on our squads, I’ll be thinking of you buddy! What a legacy you’ve left for our region! Heading to work now, on a weekend, as we all do because it’s part of what we do. I’ll be working… just like I know you’ll be doing the work yourself. Be well buddy, and see you soon!

A priest, an imam, and a rabbit go to a blood donation centre. The rabbit goes up to the registration desk, and says “I think I’m a type-O”.

There’s a cheesy doctor/dad joke for you to kick of your day. xo Vu
