Hey buddy. How’s it going? We’re here for you as you get stronger.
We’re having a great time in Newfoundland enjoy all they have to offer. Seafood, Puffins, icebergs, all that good stuff.
I know you know we’re thinking about you.
See you soon.

‘Steve Serbic’ is a name we hear often in the fire service and beyond. A name known for compassion, support, leadership and kindness. You’ve given us all so much Steve, it’s our turn, to collectively make sure your cup is filled, too. During the initial days of Roger’s retirement you were so quick to say, ‘give him a big hug from me!’. Your simple words of encouragement and support meant so much. Now is the time to take care of you, lean on your community and focus on whatever you need to do for YOU. Sending positive thoughts, support and well wishes.

Chief,
You’ve always been there for me and now I would like to be there for you. So proud of you for having the courage to take a step back and heal.
You continue to make a positive influence on the fire service even in your short absence. Grateful to call you a friend and am always available for you.
See you soon Steve.

Dear Steve,

Your courage to pause, to turn inward, and to prioritize your own healing is leadership in its truest form.

You’ve impacted so many with your compassion, care, and inspiring ways of being. Now it’s your time to receive that same depth of presence and support you’ve so often offered to others.

Wishing you deep restoration, quiet strength, and all the space you need to come home to yourself.

With immense respect and belief in you and your journey,

Sara
